Si més no, s’ha de comprendre quines contrapartides té una i l’altra. La humilitat mundana subjuga a les persones i les converteix en penells a mercè dels capritxos de persones dèspotes o senzillament de persones llunàtiques. La humilitat que ve de deixar de banda els desigs o l’ego personal i entregar-se a l’amor de Déu, només pot portar bons auguris.
Aquesta és la diferencia entre humilitats. A quina humilitat tendeixes?

At least, one must understand what counterparts one has and the other. Worldly humility subjugates people and turns them into weather vanes at the mercy of despotic people or simply lunatics. The humility that comes from putting aside desires or personal ego and surrendering to God’s love can only bring good omens.
This is the difference between both humilities.

Al menos, se debe comprender qué contrapartidas tiene una y otra. La humildad mundana subyuga a las personas y las convierte en veletas a merced de los caprichos de personas déspotas o sencillamente de personas lunáticas. La humildad que viene de dejar a un lado los deseos o el ego personal y entregarse al amor de Dios, sólo puede traer buenos augurios.
Ésta es la diferencia entre humildades. ¿A qué humildad tiendes?
