There is positivity in everything if we choose to see it that way.., even though it can be difficult at times, because the harm inflicted wounds us deeply within a result of identifying ourselves with the body, with matter.
POINT: When a soul leaves its body, the saying goes: When you die, the world is dead to you. The soul is freed from all attachments until it takes on another body.
We must be prepared for everything: “the good and the bad”, so that we do not have to live constantly riding a wave, struggling to maintain our inner balance of well-being.
That is why.., holding fast to the awareness of being the soul —the non-material element— stabilizes our heart’s core; it makes us less vulnerable to change. Yes, we see changes, but they do not sweep us up in a rollercoaster of emotions and turmoil; after all.., if we are not matter.., what can truly harm us?
While we inhabit a body we interact with matter and experience all the vicissitudes linked to it; we perceive everything through the senses, yet, when we leave the body.., nothing is felt in that way, and even, the ties to that life are severed. It’s as if we were shedding a heavy burden; the soul “flies” free again for a time, until it finds the new body, the new matter with which it must clothe itself once more.
